Security cameras are the most effective deterrent available to reduce graffiti vandalism. Operational security cameras that is. The days of being able to "fool" people with fake inoperable decoys are long gone. And most importantly, the footage captured during or after an incident needs to be shared with victims and reported to law enforcement. This last item is vitally important as failure to get involved is the biggest challenge we currently face.
Our Vision is called Cameras On Every Building and we can only do it with your help.
Our goal is to structure a Virtual Block Watch program for the Old Bisbee Historic District - either with or without the involvement of Bisbee PD. It starts with supporters like you installing one or more cameras on your property. From there, we want to build a network of camera locations along with a platform in which supporters and victims alike can come together to ask for help with investigations, share videos and provide leads on criminal vandal activity. This way, your cameras not only protect you and your family, but they help protect the community as well.
HERE'S WHERE WE CAN HELP!
Many of our volunteers are local handymen, contractors and business owners. Together, we're pretty experienced with several different types of cameras available, and we want to extend our expertise to Preserve Bisbee supporters who might be feeling a bit intimidated by the idea of installing security cameras on their own.
If you live in Old Bisbee (at this time we have to limit ourselves to just Old Bisbee),want to put up a camera or two on the outside of your property, and you just don't know where to begin, please reach out to us. We would be happy to work with you to guide you through the process, help you decide what type of camera would be best (wired or battery), placement options, budget, etc. In addition, if you need assistance with installation, we'll help install your cameras (for free of course!) and get your cameras up and running in no time!
